Monkeypox Guidelines: The Union Health Ministry has issued guidelines to the states regarding the management of monkeypox. The Union Health Ministry said that till date no case of monkeypox has been reported in India. As per the guidelines, samples will be sent to NIV Pune through Integrated Disease Surveillance Program network. In addition, monitoring should be done for a period of 21 days after the last contact with a patient or their contaminated material during the infectious period.
