Loksabha By Election: Samajwadi Party Changed Its Candidate For Azamgarh Seat, Now SP Chief Akhilesh’s Brother Dharmendra Yadav Will Give Competition To ‘Nirhua’
Loksabha By Election: Samajwadi Party has changed its candidate on the last day of nomination in Azamgarh to compete with Bhojpuri film hero and singer Dinesh Lal Yadav (Nirhua). Now Akhilesh has fielded former Badaun MP and his cousin Dharmendra Yadav from Azamgarh. Earlier, the Samajwadi Party had fielded Dalit leader Sushil Anand from this seat. But Sushil Anand has two voter IDs in his name, so the party decided not to field him to avoid any kind of trouble. Due to the resignation of Akhilesh Yadav, there is a by-election in Azamgarh on June 23.
In 2019, there was a contest between Akhilesh Yadav and Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirhua. If you understand the arithmetic of victory and defeat in Azamgarh seat, then in the year 2019, Akhilesh got 6 lakh 21 thousand votes while BJP’s Dinesh Lal Nirhua got 3 lakh 61 thousand. Then Akhilesh won by more than 2 lakh 59 thousand votes.
Nirhua’s candidature was announced on Saturday
The BJP had announced the candidature of Nirhua on Saturday itself. Whereas the Samajwadi Party was confused about the name of Dimple to Dharmendra Yadav. As far as the vote bank in this seat is concerned, calculate it from the fact that in the last ten elections, only Yadav candidates have won from here eight times. The other two times Muslim.
Akhilesh’s victory was in 2019
Yadav voters in Azamgarh are 3.5 lakh, Muslim voters 3 lakh and Dalit voters around 3 lakh. BSP has also made the contest triangular this time by fielding Guddu Jamali as its candidate. When Akhilesh won in 2019, there was an alliance of Samajwadi Party and BSP.
