Kupwara Encounter Two LeT Terrorist Killed: Security forces have got great success in Kupwara of Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces have killed two terrorists in an encounter here. Two terrorists of banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) have been killed. One of the slain terrorists includes Pakistani terrorist Tufail. IG Vijay Kumar of Kashmir Zone said that two terrorists have been killed in the encounter, out of which one Pakistani terrorist Tufail is also there.
Information was received about the hiding of terrorists in Chakras Kandi of Kupwara. After this information, a joint team of army and police started the siege. After being surrounded, the terrorists started firing, after which the security forces also gave a befitting reply and killed 2 terrorists. The operation against the terrorists is still going on in the area.
2 Lashkar terrorists killed in Kupwara
Kashmir Zone IGP Vijay Kumar said that two LeT terrorists have been killed. He told that a Pakistani terrorist Tufail is also involved in this. The search operation of the army and police is going on in the area. Earlier on Monday, a Pakistani Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in Baramulla district, while three terrorists managed to escape from the spot. An AK 47 rifle, 5 magazines along with many more weapons were recovered from the slain terrorist.
Terrorists eliminated under Operation All Out
Under Operation All Out in Jammu and Kashmir, more than 900 terrorists have been neutralized in the last 5 years. According to the figures, 257 terrorists were killed in the year 2018 in action against terrorists. In the year 2019, 157 terrorists were killed by the soldiers. In 2020, 221 terrorists were eliminated. In the same year 2021, 193 terrorists were killed and till June 6 this year, 96 terrorists have been killed.
