Pilgrims of Amarnath Yatra: The Jammu and Kashmir administration has released a list of dos and don’ts for the pilgrims ahead of the Amarnath Yatra. In this, the administration has asked the pilgrims to do morning walk and breathing exercise to stay fit. This 43-day long journey is going to start on June 30.
Describing the precautionary measures, Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha, Nitish Kumar has said that before going on the Amarnath Yatra, the pilgrims should do morning walk, do breathing exercises and themselves. Keep it hydrated. Along with this, he said that the passengers should not forget to keep warm clothes and food items with them. This journey will start from 30 June 2022 and will end on 11 August 2022. In fact, 90 pilgrims lost their lives during the Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand this year due to heart attack, mountain sickness and other reasons. After that some guidelines have been issued by the Jammu and Kashmir administration for the Amarnath Yatra.
4 to 5 hour walk is very important
Nitishwar Kumar told that the passengers who have registered for Amarnath Yatra and want to go, then they should start doing morning walk and evening walk of 4 to 5 hours. It is very important for the travelers to do this because it will not be easy to climb such high mountains. The cave of Amarnath is at an altitude of 12 thousand 700 feet and there will be many places on the way where you will have to go to the height of 14 thousand to 15 thousand feet. Along with this, the passengers also have to do deep breathing exercises because the oxygen level is very low at such a height. So there is a drop in temperature on the way due to rain, so it is also necessary to keep warm clothes. During the journey, after the rain, the temperature drops by 5 degrees, so the traveler should not forget to keep warm clothes. Along with this, it is also an important process to keep a stick, jacket and food items with you. Stay hydrated to avoid dehydration.
