India On OIC Comment For Nupur: The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has termed the comments given by the Organization of Islamic Countries on the Nupur Sharma case as unnecessary and small-minded. The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson has said that India respects all the countries of the world, tweets and comments of some people against a religious personality cannot be considered the view of the Government of India.

Regarding these comments, the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs of India clearly said, “India respects all religions, some people made derogatory tweets and comments against a religious personality. This is not the view of the Government of India in any way. has taken strict action against those making derogatory remarks.”

He further said that it is unfortunate that the OIC has, in spite of this, made misleading, motivated and incorrect remarks. India urges that the OIC Secretariat show respect to all religions while putting an end to communal thinking.
