Prayer For Gyanvapi Mukti: All India Gyanvapi Mukti Mahaparishad recited Hanuman ji Darshan and collective Shri Hanuman Chalisa and Bajrang Baan on Monday, 6th June. The event started at 8 am with the darshan of Shri Hanuman ji located at Gyanvapi (before the disputed structure) in the courtyard of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The members of the Mahaparishad worshiped Shri Hanuman ji and prayed to him for the liberation of knowledge. The administration did not give permission to the people of the Mahaparishad to recite in the temple, so the workers of the Mahaparishad took a pledge to liberate Gyanvapi by reciting Hanuman Chalisa in front of Hanumanji, south facing Bulanala.

Administration stopped from reciting Hanuman Chalisa

The workers of Gyanvapi Mukti Mahaparishad were going for worship of Hanuman ji, Hanuman Chalisa and Bajrang Baan recitation at Vishwanath temple. In the meantime, he was stopped by ACP Chakrapani Tripathi at gate number 4. About 30 workers of the Mahaparishad going to the temple were stopped by the administration at the gate saying that they did not have permission to go to the temple. However, the activists argued to the administration that this number is not special on Monday, so the need for permission for worship and recitation in the temple does not seem to be necessary.

Despite the repeated requests and arguments of the workers, the administration did not allow them to go to the temple, citing lack of permission. Whereas the statue of Hanuman ji is neither disputed nor is it at the disputed site. Due to this attitude of the administration, the workers of the Mahaparishad took a pledge to liberate Gyanvapi by reciting Hanuman Chalisa in front of Hanumanji, south facing Bulanala. Raja Anandjyoti Singh, former vice-president of the Central Bar Association, said, “It is a matter of great sadness for us Hindus that we are being stopped for worship and recitation in our own temple, while thousands of people from the districts of Purvanchal are in the mosque. People are coming and offering Namaz.”

On the other hand, Newton Pandey said, “It is a shame if permission has to be taken for worship and recitation even in a temple where there is no dispute. In the year 1868, Hanumanji’s idol was also there in Gyanvapi in Samuel Bourne’s picture. It should be investigated.” Who should have removed them and legal action should be taken.

Nandi Puja was done last Monday

It is worth noting that the workers had worshiped Nandi ji at Vishwanath temple on Monday. During this, collective Shiva Tandav was recited and greeted with a garland of 51 kg.
