Kidney Racket Busted: The South District Police has busted a kidney racket being run from the capital of the country. All these people used to do transplant surgery in a nursing home built in Gohana, Sonepat. South District DCP Benita Mary Jakar said that the Hauz Khas police station got information that a racket related to kidney transplant was being run from Hauz Khas. In a pathlab of Hauz Khas, kidney donors are tested. Police started investigation based on the information. Meanwhile, the police found a youth who had fallen under the guise of this racket, who was brought to the pathlab. He was told that his stomach had to be examined but he had some doubts and started quarreling there. The police immediately registered a case and started investigation. During this, a person named Sarvjeet was caught. The police came to know that some people have been kept in a flat in Paschim Vihar area, whose kidneys are to be taken. The police immediately raided the hideout, from where 3 people were safely freed from the clutches of a person named Shailesh. Documents of his medical examination were also found, which were related to kidney transplant. Vikas alias Bikash and Vipin alias Abhishek were caught on the behest of Shailesh. Investigation revealed that this gang used to do kidney transplant in a nursing home in Gohana, Sonepat. This nursing home belongs to Dr. Sonu Rohilla. The transplant surgery was performed by Dr. Saurabh Mittal with his team of OT technicians Kuldeep Ray Vishwakarma, Om Prakash Sharma and Manoj Tiwari.
Kuldeep Vishwakarma was the mastermind
According to the police, Kuldeep is the mastermind of this racket. He conspired with Sonu Rohilla and joined Dr Saurabh Mittal with him.
Used to trap people by creating pages on Facebook
Police claim that this racket was being run through Facebook. Shailesh Patel used to make a page on Facebook in the name of kidney donor or organ donor. People from different places used to join on it, in addition to those who needed kidneys, people who donated kidneys were also involved. Shailesh Patel used to identify such people among these people, who would be financially weak. Then he would be called to Delhi on the pretext. Here his brain was washed and kidneys were prepared for sale. Doctor Saurav Mittal, along with his technicians, used to carry out the transplant surgery at a nursing home in Gohana. Responsibility was distributed to every member of this racket.
If someone was looking for kidney donors, then someone would get these donors medical tests done. Someone had the responsibility of locating a kidney donor. Someone used to get in touch with the person who bought the kidney and negotiate a deal with him.
There were donors aged 20 to 30 years
According to the police, before taking the kidney, this gang would have ensured that the age of the kidney donor should be between 20 and 30 years, only people of this age used to be trapped in their trap.
This gang has done 20 transplants
The police have claimed that this gang, which runs the kidney racket, has done 20 kidney transplants so far. So far 4 people have come before the police, who were about to donate kidneys. These people are from Assam, Kerala, West Bengal and Gujarat.
