Delhi Model Gaushala: Delhi Development Minister Gopal Rai today visited Hare Krishna Gaushala located in Kheda Dabur, Najafgarh. It has been proposed to develop this Gaushala as Model Gaushala of Delhi. Solar Power Plant and Biogas Plant will also be installed in Model Gaushala of Delhi. Along with this, compost will also be made from the residue coming out of biogas. Development Minister Gopal Rai, after taking stock of the gaushala, inaugurated the 500 kW generating power plant built on the old structure of the gaushala.
After taking stock of the Gaushala, Development Minister Gopal Rai informed that the Kejriwal government is taking every appropriate step to develop Delhi as a model city. Moving forward in this direction, the next step of the government is to develop Delhi’s gaushalas as model gaushalas. It will not only give a proper environment to the cattle of Delhi, but will also provide various employment opportunities to the people related to it.
Other cowsheds will be developed on the same lines.
Gopal Rai said that Hare Krishna Gaushala at Najafgarh would be developed in the first phase of developing Delhi’s gaushalas as model gaushalas. In future also, the rest of Delhi’s gaushalas will be developed under this model. In these cowsheds, proper arrangements will be made for the cows to stay, feed, treat and roam them. These cowsheds will be self-sufficient and their development will be eco-friendly. Gopal Rai said that these cowsheds will also provide a fair opportunity to increase the income of the people related to it. Along with this, training will also be provided from time to time to the farmers, livestock farmers and environmental protectors in these gaushalas.
Delhi’s first model gaushala
Delhi Development Minister Gopal Rai while talking about the model gaushala said that Hare Krishna Gaushala in Kheda Dabur, Najafgarh, Delhi is spread over 24 acres. It has been proposed to develop Hare Krishna Gaushala as the model Gaushala of Delhi. Under which development will be done here under various work projects. In this, about 5 MW power is to be generated mainly from Gaushala. Things like setting up of a biogas plant by IGL in front of the main entry gate of the Gaushala, making organic manure from the remains of the biogas plant. Apart from being equipped with modern facilities, this model gaushala will also create various employment opportunities for the people related to it.
