UP cadre IAS officer and Jhansi DM Ravindra Kumar wrote a book “Mount Everest: Experience the Journey” to spread awareness about water conservation. Mount Everest: Experience the Journey). The book was released by Tibetan religious leader Dalai Lama.
“Mount Everest: Experience the Journey” is based on the journey of the Himalayas by Ravindra Kumar. Ravindra Kumar climbed Mount Everest to raise awareness about water conservation. Earlier, the Dalai Lama had given his best wishes by writing the foreword to this book. Ravindra Kumar is one of the few Indians to climb Mount Everest through two different routes in Nepal (on the south side of Mount Everest) and Tibet (on the north side of Mount Everest).

The author Ravindra Kumar is responsible for taking two important schemes of the Government of India on the world’s highest peak i.e. Mount Everest, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Namami Gange to the top of Everest. He led these two major programs to the summit of Everest. By doing so, he tried to increase public awareness about these programs. He carried the Ganges water to the top of Everest. Offering it there, appealed to the people of the country and the world to save water so that the coming generations do not have any shortage of drinking water.
