CBI Arrests Railway Engineer: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Ajay Kumar Tamrakar, Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer, Central Railway, who was taking bribe in exchange for giving a job as a peon in the Railways. During the raids that took place after the arrest, it has been claimed that many incriminating documents have been recovered from the premises of the accused.

According to CBI spokesperson RC Joshi, the CBI had received a complaint against Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer Diesel Loco Shed West Central Railway, Itarsi. It was said in the complaint that the said officer is demanding a bribe of three and a half lakh rupees in return for giving the job of a peon to the complainant. It is also alleged that the complainant was threatened that if he did not pay the bribe amount, he would not be given a job.

On the basis of the complaint, the CBI did the preliminary investigation of the case, during this investigation, a case was registered against the said officer under various criminal sections after finding important facts related to the case.

After this, the CBI arrested Ajay Kumar, Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer, taking a bribe of 50 thousand rupees from the complainant. After his arrest, raids were conducted on his premises. From where many objectionable documents have been claimed to be found. The accused will be produced before the special CBI court, the investigation of the case is going on.
