Owaisi On Nupur Sharma: In the controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammad, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi once again called the PM Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) has been targeted. Owaisi said, action was taken on Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal when Muslim countries objected. But when the Muslims of the country were raising their voice, no action was taken.
Addressing a rally in Latur, Maharashtra, he said, ‘We are angry that the Prime Minister did not pay attention to the Muslims who are residents of this country. But when countries outside expressed their anger on social media, immediate action was taken. Without naming Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal, he said, “Both should be arrested for making controversial statements on Prophet Mohammad. If the government thinks that they have gone wrong, then arrest these people, then justice will be done. If I am PM. If I use some unparliamentary language against Modi, then BJP people make the issue of ‘arrest Owaisi’ but we are demanding his arrest for 10 days, then we are not even listening to us.
What happened in the Prophet controversy so far?
Controversial remarks of Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal against the Prophet have made anti-national elements active, while diplomatic difficulties have also arisen for India. Al Qaeda has threatened attacks in many towns and cities of the country. Kuwait has already withdrawn Indian products from its stores. More than 15 countries, including Kuwait, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Oman, Indonesia, have protested against this remark. On the other hand, Mumbra police has summoned Nupur Sharma and asked her to appear on June 22.
AIMPLB’s action demanded
The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has also taken a tough stand on the controversial remarks against Prophet Mohammad. A letter has been issued by the Muslim Personal Law Board. The BJP leaders, who made derogatory and indecent remarks on Prophet Mohammad, have been told to be suspended from the party but have also demanded legal action against them. The Muslim Personal Law Board says that while taking legal action against Nupur Sharma, he should be punished severely.
